Coral's first trip to Pensacola

Coral and I had our first adventure on a plane ride from Jacksonville to Pensacola on June 18th. She did amazing during take offs and landings. I was worried about the flight but she surprised me once again.

We stayed at a condominium in Perdido with Gail her "mima" and got to visit with all her Aunties and cousins. We will cherish the memories forever, thank you Gail for hooking us up with such wonderful accommodations. We were definitely spoiled for the weekend. Coral also got her first bikini as a gift from her auntie April.

Justin celebrated his first Father's Day at the beach that weekend. He could not have spent it at a more perfect place.

April, Gregg and I also got to play with little Tigers, Lemurs and Wolfs at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. I hope Coral gets the opportunity to play with such wild animals when she gets older ;o)

Life as we know it "Parenthood"

The best decision we ever made besides committing our lives to one another was the decision to become parents. Coral is now 4 months old and has touched our lives in more ways than one. Her smiles and laughter can lift any ones spirits and her beautiful blue eyes just melts our hearts into a million pieces. The joys of becoming a mother have surpassed any other feeling in the world. I finally know now what well seasoned parents meant when they say children change your life's.

We just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary June 4 and our 11 years of knowing/dating/marriage. I am realizing how fast time passes by. The years seem to be passing by with a blink of an eye. I want to capture every moment and cherish it. A few of my friends have started blogging and I enjoy seeing there updates so much. I thought it was a great way to start a journal of all our adventures to come. We also have our family website Justin created:
http://pettyfamilywebsite.com/family_portal/index.php so please stop by and register if you haven't already done so.

I hope to keep this journal going and if your interested in our world of adventures please subscribe to the blog and follow us for updates ;o)

Coral update: 4months 14lbs 2 oz & 25inches
Memorial day she rolled over at the beach! Justin and I were blessed to have witnessed it together and my friend actually caught it on video!
She has been changing ever so quickly! Everyday she is doing something new or different than before. She started talking more (making all her vowel sounds) like a little dolphin ;o) She is working on rolling over more and trying to do mini baby crunches in her car set (so funny to watch)
